Abigail “Abby” Clay
Professional Counselor Intern
Meet Abby
My name is Abby, and I am a counseling intern with a passion for supporting preteens, teens, adults, and couples through life’s challenges using active listening with empathy and authenticity. I believe in creating warm, inclusive spaces where clients feel truly seen, heard, and accepted for who they are. Drawing from a person-centered foundation, I am particularly intrigued by working with members of the autism community and utilizing a neurodiverse-affirming approach. I am dedicated to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions freely. By fostering genuine connections and understanding, I strive to empower individuals to navigate their struggles and discover their inner strength.
I consider myself a lifelong learner in pursuit of growth, both personally and professionally. My work is guided by a deep respect for each client’s unique story, strengths, and pace of healing. I believe in showing up fully — with compassion, curiosity, and a sense of grounded calm — to walk alongside clients as they navigate change.
Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, playing video games, and doing arts and crafts.
