Meet Maria

LMFT Student

Maria is a Master’s Level Marriage and Family Therapy student who works with individuals, couples, and children ages 10 and up. She has a passion for helping couples, families, and teens navigate relationship challenges, communication difficulties, parenting concerns, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions.

As the wife of a retired Army veteran, Maria has a special heart for supporting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families as they navigate the unique challenges of military life and transition. She also enjoys walking alongside individuals and families impacted by cancer, offering compassionate care and encouragement. For clients who desire it, Maria is honored to incorporate faith-based counseling into the therapeutic process.
Maria has received additional training in the Gottman Method (Levels 1 & 2), equipping her to support couples from premarital preparation through every stage of marriage using evidence-based approaches tailored to each relationship.
Outside of the therapy office, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and six children, reading, crafting, sewing, and exploring Texas.

Education: B.S. in Psychology at Liberty University
