Meet Susan

Founder & CEO

My name is Susan, and I am the founder and CEO of Lake Worth Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (LMFT-S). My education includes a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Texas Wesleyan University and an M.S. in Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University I started in the education field but fell in love with Family Therapy and have worked counseling families, couples, and children – including non-profit, government, and overseas as a family therapist for over 20 years. In 2014, LWC was formed to create a private practice group that was committed to helping individuals and families with their mental health needs. Today, we have an amazing team of over 20 professionals including counselors and support staff, who continue to provide caring and collaborative services to our community.

I currently live in Aledo, TX, with my husband and daughter. I enjoy cooking, swimming, Pilates, Mexican food, and beach vacations. We are not a perfect family by any means, but we believe a sense of humor, forgiveness, humility, and spirituality can go a long way toward maintaining a happy family.
